Ten lessons from leading IoT projects
Ten lessons from leading IoT projects, from aligning agendas to certification and secure updates. People first, process second, technology third.
Peter De Witte · Curtat
I lead complex technical projects from requirements to delivery, bridging business, suppliers and engineering. With five years as CTO in startups and more than ten years as an embedded engineer, I know what it takes to turn difficult technology into a working product.
Complex embedded, IoT, connectivity and AI projects from scope to delivery.
Spotting new IoT and network infrastructure opportunities for your business unit and aligning the projects behind them with your business goals.
Uncovering client needs through discovery to provide targeted, value-driven solutions.
Turning complex specifications into designs, estimates and executable projects.

I spent more than ten years building embedded systems before moving into a CTO role for five years. I have led complete technology stacks, from electronics and firmware to radio, cloud platforms and suppliers.
Today I manage IoT and radio projects from scope and architecture through planning, suppliers and delivery. That technical and business background means I can talk to engineers, challenge suppliers and still keep the business objective in sight.
Because I can manage the full technology stack, I spot opportunities for your business that are not obvious, and weigh them on strategy, not on technology alone. Nothing beats finding an opportunity that nobody had thought of before.
